Who we are

Solace is operated by Matthew Bronson from the United States. We are the controller of the personal information described in this notice.

What we collect

  • Account info: email, name, login credentials.
  • Profile info: background details you choose to share (language, culture, country, city) so Solace can respond in a way that fits you.
  • Conversation content: the messages you send and the AI's responses.
  • Usage and device data: IP address, browser, device type, pages visited, timestamps.
  • Support messages: anything you send us through support.

Why we use it

  • To run your account and provide the service.
  • To personalize responses based on the background you share.
  • To improve Solace, fix bugs, and develop new features.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To respond to your support requests.
  • To meet legal obligations.

Our legal basis is performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and improving the service, your consent where required, and compliance with the law.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers: hosting, database, analytics, AI model providers, and customer support tooling that help us run Solace.
  • Paddle: our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment, billing, tax, invoicing, and subscription management for paid plans.
  • Professional advisers: legal, accounting, and similar advisers when needed.
  • Authorities: when required by law or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as you have an account, plus a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax, accounting, or security needs. After that we delete or anonymize it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your information, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to withdraw any consent you've given. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what we collect and to ask us to delete it. To exercise these rights, contact us through the support contact in the app. We will respond within the time required by law.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe.

International transfers

Solace is hosted in the United States. If you use the service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate.

Children

Solace is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to run the service. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how Solace is used.
